The Care Collective

The Care Collective was a campaign where visual storytelling and faith symbolism came together to inspire community giving.

 

Drawing from the biblical metaphor of Christians as sheep, the campaign’s concept centred around a custom-designed sheep mascot — a playful yet meaningful representation of unity and care within the church.

The visual identity extended into a limited-edition merchandise piece: a pair of printed socks featuring the sheep motif rendered in four distinct colours, each drawn from Brighton Connection’s brand palette to represent the four groups the initiative aimed to reach.

 

The socks became both a symbolic keepsake, a meaningful Christmas gift and a call to action, reinforcing the campaign’s message of coming together — flocking as one — to serve and support the wider community.

Adopt-A-Bear

"Adopt-A-Bear" was a Christmas-season campaign developed as a rebrand of The Care Collective, expanding its reach beyond the Brighton Community Church audience to engage the wider public. Rooted in the spirit of giving, the campaign centred on the symbolism of a teddy bear — a familiar childhood companion reimagined as a voice for the unseen and forgotten.

Each teddy bear was depicted as a latchkey child, left behind in everyday spaces like the playground, home, or void deck — mirroring the lives of the beneficiaries that Brighton Connection seeks to serve within the community. This emotional storytelling translated into a tangible call to action: members of the public were invited to “adopt” a bear through the campaign, with proceeds directed toward charitable causes.

 

To make the experience personal and heartfelt, customisable fabric stickers were designed for adopters to decorate their bears, whether for themselves or as a meaningful gift. The campaign turned a simple act of giving into a creative and compassionate gesture — a reminder that everyone can play a special part in caring for others.

You Are The Zest!

You Are The Zest! was a cheerful volunteer appreciation campaign designed to celebrate the dedication and heart of Brighton Connection's volunteers. Drawing inspiration from the refreshing energy of oranges, the campaign’s concept played on the phrase “zest” — a symbol of vitality, joy, and the bright spirit volunteers bring to the community.

As a token of appreciation, each volunteer received an IJOOZ voucher to redeem a cup of freshly squeezed orange juice — a simple yet thoughtful gesture that tied perfectly to the campaign’s uplifting theme. Through its playful visual identity and warm messaging, You Are The Zest! served as a heartfelt reminder that every volunteer adds flavour and freshness to the work of Brighton Connection.
